Well. The most RECENT thing, is what I really mean.
I love these cards so much, I bought a set of eight. I am going to send them as part of #52hellos – unless I can’t bear to part with them. That is highly probable too. It’s going to be a year of stationery at my house and I could not be more pleased.
I’m not sure if the Gilmore Girls card sets are still in stock at She Can Lift A Horse (PIPPI reference!!!) but you could contact Nicole over there to find out?
Here’s my first SENT letter for #52hellos – it’s to my Nan and contains: 4 pages of chatter, a clipping about the Sydney Swans footy team, some stickers to remind her we love her, two photos – printed via HuggleUp – of my sister and I when we were little. It was really nice to write the letter and package it all up. It was super nice to go through the newspaper and try to find a clipping that would interest her. People used to send clippings all the time, right? It’s a bit of a lost art, but I am going to try to do it more. It felt weirdly nostalgic and special. (Also my handwriting is pretty bad. I need to write more and make it look a bit nicer, I think!)
On Wednesday I’ll show you a letter someone sent ME this week. AND if you’d like to send me a letter or join in with #52hellos you can go here to find out how. It’s so easy. Ya gotta do it! Get writing and clipping and sticking!
Last night the band Max is in, Cinesex, played their first gig at the pub on the corner of our street. It was really ace. Max is the singer and he can really scream like it’s no ones business. My favourite track is the one that goes ‘da-nah-nah da-nah-nah-na’ repeat. Oh. You had to be there, but trust me, they are really awesome. I think they are my favourite band. The Bluebottles (Rin’s* Joe’s band) are my second favourite. (When I typed that I accidentally typed ‘bluebottholes’ which seems super wrong. Sorry).
Today I’ve been walking to the Post Office, doing some work for Kidspot, writing for Blog Yay! (my secret club for bloggers – there are over 100 better blogging posts over there with new ones added each week) and eating last night’s leftover Italian Beef Casserole thingy.
Soon I’m off to run a mentoring session with a cute, creative girl. Later, I’m going to start a new book because I finished Joe Cinque’s Consolation (for A Year Of Australian Writing). Man. Have you read that book? It’s NUTS and GREAT. I can hardly believe it could be a true story and people could behave like that, but Helen Garner tells it like it is and it is true. Ugh.
it’s this colour nail polish!
Hope you are well, poppets. I am really loving this new year so far. I feel good things are in store for you and me!
Write soon!
x Pip
*Rin is my daughter, if you did not know that. Max is my son and Joe is my son-in-law. I have another cute son too. His name is Ari and he’s nearly 15.
PS: How cute is this card by Papillon Press?! It features: Rose Nylund (Golden Girls), Clair Huxtable (The Cosby Show), Carol Brady (The Brady Bunch), Lorelai Gilmore (Gilmore Girls), Roseanne Conner (Roseanne) & Peg Bundy (Married with Children)

Did you finish Joe Cinque’s Consolation? Interested in hearing your thoughts.
I was just looking at those Gilmore Girls cards the other day!! Have finished watching EVERY SINGLE EPISODE last week. Sooooo good. 🙂 I really liked this etsy item though… https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/199975115/gilmore-girls-lukes-diner-dragonfly-inn?ref=listing-shop-header-1
Joe Cinque’s Consolation was truly one of the most horrific books I have ever read. Such callousness. Love the cards, I’m watching Season 5 of Gilmore Girls. Dean has the worst hair ever.
Pip those cards are so lovely I don’t think I could give them away either! Etsy is a treasure trove.
