Here’s a little bit about where I’m at, mostly to remind myself, but maybe you are interested too? How nice (if you said yes.)

Taking Stock: November

Making : Nigella Lawson’s Chocolate Fudge Cake. Yum! Have you made it? It’s really delicious.
Cooking : Poh’s chicken curry (NB: Steam potatoes first. Do not put lid on curry. Just an FYI.)
Drinking : Copious amounts of tea, coffee, mineral water. As usual. Prosecco on Sunday.
Reading: We’ll Always Have Paris by Emma Beddington
Trawling: eBay for weird Korean beauty masks. I love them.
Wanting: More hours in the day. To go op shopping.
Looking: At the rain falling on our orange tree. We have two orange trees and one lemon tree.
Deciding: To avoid going down to the shops today. Even though I need Greek yogurt, tomatoes, cucumber, Sirena tuna, things… Sigh.
Wishing: It was Rosehaven night. Chortle. Oh it is! I love that show so much.
Enjoying: Watching The Night Manager. So so so good! Tom Hiddleston. Nods.
Waiting: For an eBay delivery. Of 10 000 1cm pompoms. I don’t know what that is all about.
Liking: Early morning reading in bed.
Wondering: If Kanye is okay. Poor thing.
Loving: My new dress. I am going to buy another one in blue, I think.
Pondering: Why nobody in my house eats chocolate cake. Rascals.
Listening: To the Amelie soundtrack a lot. And this one too.
Considering: The Summer budget. Argh. It’s such a spendy time, right?
Buying: New Saltwater sandals – rose gold!
Watching: The Kettering Incident. V mysterious and Tasmanian.
Hoping: I can squeeze in some crochet tonight. I realise I am either reading OR crafting, but it’s hard to do both. Esp at the same time.
Marvelling: At how cool it is today, after yesterday’s heat.
Cringing: At the disappearing year. Come back, year. I wasn’t finished yet.
Needing: To fix my chipped nail polish. (Port-a-loo Blue, FYI.)
Questioning: How many hours it is until 7pm Friday. Copper boom!
Smelling: Dinner cooking. (Meatballs!)
Wearing: An old Gorman dress from the op shop. It is plaid.
Following: This strange drama.
Noticing: I like salt too much.
Knowing: I need to stop being so salty.
Thinking: How much I love my house/home.
Admiring: The cute toys people are making. GOOD ON YOU GUYS.
Getting: Organised to go to Sydney next week.
Bookmarking: This giant snail pattern.
Disliking: The fact that I have two city errands to do and little motivation/time to do them.
Opening: A parcel. It contained Korean face masks. One had been opened by customs and put back inside the package to leak all over its weird mask friends. Thanks border control. Thanks for the soggy package.
Giggling: At this. We are stupid.
Feeling: Lucky to be featured in The Small Batch List.
Hearing: Rain. Nice, right?
Celebrating: The final weeks of the school year for Ari.
Pretending: I’m not thinking about Brunetti’s every day.
Embracing: Early mornings and late nights.
Gasping: At thirteen years of letters to the ocean.

Here’s a blank list for you, in case you feel compelled to cut and paste and create your own list:

Hi Pip! I totally want to try Korean masks too- do you have any you would particularly recommend?

I was listening to the Amelie soundtrack as I read this list. What a coincidence!!

I am always trying to figure out if I should read or crochet. Reading mostly wins but I’ve started a new blanket & a new series ( Nashville) so now crochet seems to be winning more often.
And how great is Rosehaven?! I hope they do a second a season. So good!
And I only heard about the Kanye stuff last night. I do miss seeing KimK on Insta & snaps….what a hard few months it’s been for them.
And I too am embracing late nights & early mornings. Well I was until last night when it all caught up with me & I went to bed early.

Love this Pip. It’s as if you are a barometer of mood! Love reading your list – it inspires me to shake up my own. And to watch the salt.
