Hello pals,
Perhaps it’s time to catch our breath and take stock of where we are at right this minute? I think so. Here I go ..!
Taking Stock
Making: the most of the sunny Autumn days … such a perfect time of year!
Cooking: cheesy toast PLUS the delicious tomato jam from Stephanie’s Seasons (with my mum!) and lots of other things for my fam.
Getting: Ready for my new book to come out!
Sipping: white wine/Bitter Lemon spritzes
Reading: Cider With Rosie
Waiting: for this book to come in the post
Looking: at the hazy view out my window (the fireys are burning off in a neighbouring town).
Listening: To Nick Cave and Marlon Williams and Aldous Harding.
Wishing: I remembered to drink more water.
Enjoying: living in the greenery under a big sky surrounded by hills and mountains.
Appreciating: how lucky I am to be far from the serious COVID-hit areas.
Eating: Spicy Shin Ramen Cup noodles (sooooo good!)
Liking: shopping at the local tip shops. They are so good here in Tassie!
Loving: establishing new routines.
Buying: props for my pretend-dream cookbook from aforementioned tip shops.
Managing: to get some things done after a week of not being well.
Watching: uni lecture videos! This time I’m doing Experimental Writing and Intro to Professional Writing and Publishing. I am loving both, but especially Experimental Writing. I’m working towards my BA (Creative Writing) in case you missed that.
Hoping: To fix the side gate so the dogs don’t keep rushing out, down the driveway, along the street and into the neighbour’s yard.
Wearing: A dress I found at the Salvation Army yesterday.
Following: Little Oak Farm for their old and new adventures.
Noticing: my eyes are sore all the time now. Is it the smoke? Possibly.
Sorting: out what will go where and what furniture we need (still!)
Getting: fit climbing the hill to the clothesline and veggie garden.
Bookmarking: Taproot magazine
Coveting: A new dress from Obus.
Feeling: glad my headache went away. It’s always good when that happens.
Hearing: the washing machine beeping that it’s finished and could I please haul the wet load out and onto the line?
Love to you, dear reader. So glad you bothered to stop by. Truly.
xx

Gorgeous food pics Pip! A cookbook from Aus would be a good thing I think.
Is a Tip Shop a charity shop? Secondhand treasures…
A tip shop is a shop at the rubbish dump, where they rescue the most useful things and sell them cheaply for re-use! 🙂 There are lots in Tasmania and I LOVE THEM! x
Lovely post Pip. Best wishes from NW Tas
Love your posts, Pip. The awesome images brighten my day, as do your words.
I have Cider With Rosie somewhere in my stacks of TBR books; I must go fossicking!
It’s probably dry eye Pip. Get it checked out by an optometrist but artificial tears morning and night can sort it out.
I would love it so much if you did a cookbook! I always want to make the things you are cooking – they always sound so delicious.
Love these posts
Thank you
Cheers Kate
Always love reading these Pip. La Buvette is a fave of mine, lovely read, wish I could go there.
