How about a little bit of a check in? A bit of a catch up? A spot of thing-sharing?
I’m very much in the mood for it and perhaps you might be too?
Let me know if you join in! There’s a blank list at the bottom of this post for you to cut and paste, in case you DO fancy Taking Stock too.
Taking Stock : October 2020
Finding: The ability to now travel 25kms from home quite overwhelming! Will it be too busy out there? Is it worth the ‘risk’?
Wishing: It was tomato season. Tomatoes are my favourite.
Cooking: This delicious soup. And focaccia based on 5 ‘O’ Clock Apron’s recipe.
Sipping: Lots of water … tea … Prosecco!
Reading: Pachinko and Persuasion.
Looking: Out the window. It’s such a lovely sunny day, despite all the COVID chaos.
Listening: To Fearne Cotton on the telly. She’s on that Who Do You Think You Are show.
Wishing: The recycling depot was open because I have so much recycling to drop off.
Enjoying: The luxury of a hot bath after a couple of days without hot water. (Hot water service blew up!)
Liking: Writer’s fridges
Loving: Quiet days. And writing 1000 Ways. And getting kind emails from readers and pals. (Thank you so, so much!)
Buying: The occasional book, but really not much.
Watching: Junior Masterchef. Isn’t it inspiring and wholesome?!
Hoping: You are feeling okay.
Needing: To do lots of tidying up/clearing out.
Wearing: Birkenstocks. As usual.
Noticing: The neighbourhood’s roses.
Sorting: Myself out!
Getting: Ready to dive into writing a new book.
Craving: A wonky galette.
Bookmarking: Lots of recipe books. And even writing on them. What a monster I am.
Coveting: These Birkenstocks in a size 38 regular plz! JOKING.
Feeling: Tired, like every other person on earth.
Making: Lots of things! My latest, though, is this blanket.
Perhaps you’d like to copy and paste the list somewhere and do your own ‘Taking Stock’? Here is a blank list for you …
