:: Taking Stock : April

bookz myself shelfie welcome flag

It’s time for a little bit of a think-tank-de-moi! A chance to stop, have a cup of tea and work out what is happening in my life, right now. Without further ado, I’m going to do the Take Stock thing.

Here’s what’s going on…

Making : three different blankets. Oh my gosh. What am I like?
Cooking : Family Feast – on Sunday night we had this and it was yummy (we also had meringues!)
Drinking : tea and the occasional glass of wine (go figure!)
Reading: lots of blogs. Like heaps.
Wanting: to not have a stomach ache right now
Looking: at a busy diary
Playing: Lorde, a lot (I love that ‘Team‘ song!)
Deciding: on details for my book launch afternoon tea
Wishing: some lunch would appear
Enjoying: talking to my friends about their families
Waiting: for my new book to come out next week! WOWEE!
Liking: Noel Fielding on 3RRR’s Breakfasters this morning. Swoon.
Wondering: If Noel Fielding is as nice as he seems…
Loving: Noel Fielding? Why not.
Pondering: how people view themselves
Considering: getting some new jeans (it’s been nearly 2 years since I bought jeans!)
Buying: nice things for my bath because it helps me relax and sleep a bit easier
Watching: Homeland. Homeland. Homeland.
Hoping: my Mum gets to watch the latest Game of Thrones episode ASAP
Marvelling: at the fact that I have almost finished my friend Defah’s blanket!
Cringing: at the stupid headlines on stupid news sites because stupid.
Needing: a holiday
Questioning: if I’m as organised and prepared as I need to be for the upcoming weeks
Smelling: toast? That’s just wishful thinking, actually.
Wearing: a cardigan. It’s quite chilly here today.
Following: Fran’s 100 Days Of Pompoms (for #The100DayProject)
Noticing: how grown up my kids are getting.
Knowing: me, knowing you. Aha.
Thinking: about Max’s upcoming birthday.
Admiring: My cute friend and her cute rock climbing urges.
Sorting: out all our things (we are moving later on this year!)
Getting: freaked out about the packing
Bookmarking: a recipe for Pad Thai
Coveting: some new clothes
Disliking: how laughing at ‘normal’ women’s bodies has become a comedy ‘thing’
Opening: a jar of Promite. To put on a crumpet.
Giggling: at The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Feeling: weirded out by Madonna/Drake
Snacking: on Corn Things with yummy tomato dip on them
Wishing: I trusted myself just a little bit more sometimes
Helping: my students learn some things
Hearing: too many loud motorbikes. Sheesh. Shoosh.

And here’s a blank list for you to copy and paste so you CAN join in…

  12. Hello!
Thanks Pip! Perfect timing as always. I love reading your taking stock posts, always fab inspiration and usually a good giggle too. It was a gentle nudge to get back to my blog and take some time out to think…about me! We have just moved house, and boy it was gruelling/refreshing. The clearing out was tough but well worth it. I always get a little teary and sentimental whenever I sort through the kids art 🙂
Hope you feel better soon, sending you a virtual mug of chicken noodle soup,
    K x
