Did you know that Frankie magazine has a new editor?

It is 100% totally true.

Smart lady Sophie Kalagas is now whizzing about creatively in the seat that Jo Walker spun out of recently.

Jo has taken a more senior role at Frankie Press, crowning Sophie (former Dep Ed) the new Frankie Queen as she shifts desks. (Not sure if she got a new twirling chair, but here’s hoping.)

I have been lucky enough to work with the Frankie crew for around ten years now – coming up with projects for their ‘Crafty’ pages and trying to make myself useful on other special spin-offs.

The LATEST of these spin-offs is a book featuring some of their favourite EVER Fralumni writing (see what I did there?)

Clever and/or rude and/or funny and/or thoughtful types like Marieke Hardy, Benjamin Law and Mia Timpano are amongst the writers featured and it might JUST BE the very best thing to get your besties for Christmas (gasp!), methinks.

Frankie says:

this novel-sized book is a whopping 240-page collection of funny, rude, clever, cute (and sometimes sad and sweary) stories from the first 12 years of frankie magazine.

inside you’ll find witty words from some of our favourite frankie writers, including benjamin law, helen razer, marieke hardy, eleanor robertson, rowena grant-frost and mia timpano. oh, and there are some pretty illustrations in there, too.

It’s available for pre-order now – for October delivery – and I can’t wait to take a peek!

Good one, Franksters!
