one: the one where you and your pals all have books out!
two: this little suitcase contained my pompom arsenal for Wednesday’s workshop
three: Riberty frogs – from my new book (made from Liberty prints, of course!)
four: fabric paint for my latest project
Hello!
Sunday arvo rolls around again, so it must be time for One + Four = Life. The idea is to share four photos that sum up one week of your life (the week just gone).
One (week) + Four (photos) = (your) Life. It’s a kind of photographic algebra, isn’t it? Or not. Here’s my week.
One
I’m so happy to have a book sitting alongside some books my friends wrote. It just goes to show that if you work hard and work good, you really can do the things you want to do. (Books were the things we wanted to do!)
Two
A little suitcase. On Wednesday night I led a pompom workshop at Readings Books in St Kilda. It was such a great, fun night. Ladies of all kinds popped by and we all pompommed along merrily. We used the template from my book and also had a go at the Clover pompom makers too. HEAPS. O. FUN.
Three
Rin (my daughter) calls these Riberty Frogs which is funny and apt because they are made from some of my favourite Liberty Fabrics. These are also from my book, but I am sure you know how to make ’em. I just wanted to put a pretty spin on a favourite kindergarten classic – cue RIBERTY FROGS!
Four
I’ve been working on a really adorable project using these fabric paints. I will tell you more about that soon. It turned out super-cute! The yellow is such a nice sunshine-meets-mustard colour.
(Drop your link in below if you decide to share your week too?!)
In other news…
+ It’s Max’s birthday this week – he’s 19! (If you didn’t know, Max is my eldest son).
+ I saw Geoffrey Edelsten and Gabbi Grecko in the street yesterday!
+ I finished watching Homeland and I can’t believe the new season isn’t out until October. Sob.
+ We’re having Family Feast tonight. We’re making Yo-Mama Spicy Beans, Mexican Style Braised Chicken, Potato Salad, Grilled Corn, Guacamole, Coleslaw, Salsa and Rice. YUM!
+ It has been raining a lot – but not as much as in NSW! Jeepers. So wet you guys!
+ I had a great week!!!
How are you going? Are you well? Was your week nice? Or challenging?
Do you want to punch last week in the face? Or not?

Those froggers are really cute. I do wish I’ll have one of those.
Congrats on all of your books, all of you! Well done! I’m a great believer in the power of having a vision. Loved your photos…Happy Birthday to your ‘boy’ (if you’re anything like me, I’m sure he’ll always be your boy, however big he gets)…..have a lovely week! Helen xx
Those frogs – how cute! How old is your daughter? XX
Hi Giulia! She is 27! SO GROWN UP! Thanks for reading! x
How cute is that little suitcase? I adore vintage fabric covered bags. x
I think the Frogs look great, I’ll have to get hold of your book and make some. They’d make great bean bags to throw for my Beaver scouts, I’m sure I can think of lots of games we can play with them.
Thanks
Claire
What a lovely week. I love your Riberty Frogs. Such a cute name. Three must have books there too. I’ve already ordered yours but I am going to order the others as well because they look so great. It is my son’s birthday this week too – Wednesday in fact – but he will be away on school camp so I am a little sad. He is turning 16 which also makes me a little sad. Have a lovely week full of birthday goodness. xx
I love your Riberty Frogs!!! And your family feasts sound amazing. Loved hearing your on RRR too. x
Sounds like a superb week, Pip! Can you share your Mexican feast with us because it sounds insanely delish!!
