:: Let’s All Cook For Julia (Child!)

PBS (US) have just launched their Cook For Julia campaign, to celebrate the life and 100th birthday of Julia Child.   You can click through to their Julia site and find a ton of ace ideas about how to celebrate and what to cook to mark this important occasion!
Amongst my faves are:
Watch the Julia Child Video Collection > here
Join others around the world and cook a Julia dish to commemorate her big 100 > here
Julia Child recipe finder (to help you decide what to cook!) > here
Follow the Happy Birthday Julia Child board on Pinterest! > here
Download a Cook For Julia badge for your Facebook page or blog > here
Read tributes to Julia by other famous chefs > here
Cook For Julia (#cookforjulia) invites you to cook a Julia Child recipe between now and the 15th August (and tweet or blog about it with the #cookforjulia hashtag, if you use social media.)  There’s a whole lot to choose from at the above recipe link, or perhaps you have your own Julia Child cookbooks to refer to?  I have a couple. Lucky me!
At my house, the Boeuf Bourguignon is a favourite. And her garlicky mashed potatoes.  I think that might be my chosen dish.  And I am going to watch Julie and Julia again.  Even though Julie is pesky.
Do you want to #cookforjulia too?
xx Pip

Hey, that sounds like a good idea. I liked the Julie & Julia book, but you're right, Julie got pesky by the end (and annoying, in the movie version). But Meryl Streep totally nailed Julia, awesome!
