the “Nerdist” podcast by Chris Hardwick is my jam. It’s just conversations with celebrities; a little interview-y, but very loose and informal, and they’re more like conversations. Chris Hardwick is INCREDIBLE at loosening up someone famous and putting them at ease to the point that they go off on weird little tangents, so you end up with moments like Tom Hanks telling stories about 1960s infomercials or Daniel Radcliffe raving about his favorite music or Paul Williams singing a duet of “I’m Going to Go Back There Someday” with Chris, or Jeff Bridges leading a session of Zen meditation. They can get sweary, so forewarned (although, the moment when Benedict Cumberbatch swears, apologizes, and then finds out that it’s okay to swear, is pretty funny.)

I alternate between lighter podcasts and crimey ones. At the moment I’m listening to No Such Thing as a Fish (from the QI elves) and a few different ones about cults, although I’m yet to find one I like a lot.

podcasts are my new fave thing!
loving the ‘fortunately’ with jane Garvey & fi glover (its a abc radio 4 thing) they’re around 30 mins long & its like listening to friend chat.
stumbled on ‘walking the dog’ and its matt Lucas talking about stuff as he walks his two dogs this week.
‘the Emma guns show’ I liked only a couple
‘you must remember this’ is one that someone put me onto – old Hollywood.

There is such an abundance of quality content available! ‘Conversations’ is one I dip into regularly too.
I recently listened to all of ‘How do you sleep at night?’, an interesting foray into some different worlds to my own.
I look forward to regular episodes from:
    ‘Ladies, we need to talk’
    ‘This is About’
    ‘Bang On’

And when I discovered ‘Criminal’ I absolutely binged my way up to the current episodes and now have the agonising wait for a new episode each fortnight…

I listen to all of those too – except Criminal! I am a bit crime-d out at the moment, but will put it on my to do later list! Thank you for reading and commenting!!

    Hello Pip!
I’m half way through your book ‘Craft for the Soul’, oh my, I’m loving it!
So wise and fun. Have you considered podcasting? You’d be wonderful at it! Ive been listening to Richard Fidler’s Conversation podcasts. So diverse, aren’t people interesting? Now back to the book! …Michele x
