Hello Pip-Life

:: How To Visit Daylesford!

March 23, 2014

We’ve borrowed a flash new car so we decided to head up to Daylesford today. Maybe that sounds good to you too? Here’s a helpful guide to Daylesfording it…

1.  Go in a car or on a train.
2.  Take a really good book to read (I chose ‘Tracks’ because Ella told me it was great. She is right!)
3.  Pack some Milk Arrowroots to sustain you.
4.  Go when there is a school fair on.
5.  Surprise all your friends there (hello Veggie MamaWhole Larder LoveLunch LadyFoxs Lane and Kitty!)
6.  Eat really delicious falafel served by Bren (admire the tomato kasundi especially!)
7.  Eat really delicious dumplings served by Kate #yumattack
8.  Drink some soothing chai with the other Kate and your family.
9.  Talk about having a bunny face with cute small people.
10. Buy some jam, lemon butter, aforementioned tomato kasundi and rhubarb compote.
11. Watch children walking around with boxes on their heads and snazzy wallets in their hands.
12. Marvel at The Amazing Giant Loom. So loomy!
13. Listen to people singing stuff. Pretend to have rhythm.
14. Chat about books to Rohan. And about life. And about deer.
15. Look at the cute small people some more.
16. Leave and go and eat even more food.
17. Go to The Mill and try not to buy all of the things.
18. Visit the Tip Shop.
19. Buy a bag of potatoes from a roadside stall.
20. Drive home listening to nice music and thinking about the Braised Steak & Onions simmering in the slow cooker.

What did you do today?

x Pip
