Rad People

:: Hello Lady Faves

pip georgi chrissie on the circle

Good morning! How are you? I am okay. I slept on the couch last night which was not good. Things were so noisy outside my bedroom window (in the laneway). I could not even stand it. So I went downstairs and put Gilmore Girls on and pulled a blanket over me. I think I fell asleep at around 1am. This is poopy. Meh.

Anyway, I wanted to forget about that and tell you about a few things that are going on with favourite ladies in my world. So here goes!

1. My compadre and pool-side giggling partner Clare Bowditch shared a great festive Inspiration Bomb featuring our friend Chrissie Swan. You can watch it here AND you can win an amazing thing from the innovative Bindle people if you share it around. If you want to know how it feels to be swishing about in the giant agitator that is breakfast radio, have a listen (but she also talks about other important stuff too!)

I love Chrissie, don’t you? She’s one of those outstandingly clever, rad people that make me feel better about the world… like if there are people like her, we stand a chance of survival if we’re hit by a meteor or the like. She’ll know what to do and she’ll make me wet my pants laughing while we do it. Perf. Also I love Clare. Goes without saying, ya know?

When me and Chrissie and Clare are old, we can have an old lady podcast where we just talk about big and little things and try not to wet our pants. It’ll be really funny. You’ll totally want to listen to that, right?

2. Carly Findlay is the birthday girl and has a bit of a celebration on her blog. You can win some things and it’s the perfect opportunity to get to know Carly better or let her know she’s doing ace stuff. Head here for those bountiful pleasures!

3. One of my Blog With Pip students, Leanne, shared a great post about our neighbourhood, in case you want to visit. I’ve met some amazing people through my blogging course and it’s pretty inspiring to see the things they are doing online. Often they end up being MUCH better bloggers than me! Leanne’s blog is called Second Hand City, by the way. Get your vintage on.

4. Patience from The Grates sent me the cutest package of treats to celebrate their new album (which is called Dream Team). I am really impressed that they have their own pennant. Woah.

5. Lady fave Rachel Power is releasing an updated version of The Divided Heart, her book about creativity and motherhood. Someone right here in this room is being included. *points to self* Thank you Rachel! The book is out (again! yay!) next year and if you haven’t read it and you are a mama or mama-to-be who’s trying to juggle creativity and life in general, this could be your kinda thing.

Okay. That’s it from me, Ms Poopy, for now. I am going to drink 27 cups of coffee and try to shake this off!

Love to you!

x pip

    Patience is in my top five of all time awesome people. Every time they bring their band to Tassie I haven’t been able to go. I am so excited they have bought out a new album. Fingers crossed I can make it the next time they come 🙂

    Hi Pip, that’s very kind of you! And Blog with Pip has been super. So many excellent ideas and links and resources. I feel like I have just scratched the surface of all the information you’ve sent our way – and our time’s nearly up. I have been keeping a little notebook of all the things I want to follow up that I haven’t had a chance to look in to yet. And my project for 2015 is to implement all the great things I’ve learnt. So thanks. Leanne

    I really love Chrissy too. She is so ACE. I also love the post from Leanne that you linked to. It really makes me want to visit Melbourne again. It’s been way too long. But most of all I want to know why the lady on the left is holding a plate with my daughter’s name on it? Hope your nights get a whole lot better Pip. That’s not very nice. You should come stay with me for awhile and refresh. We listen to the sound of crickets and nightbirds. xx
