I feel really lucky to be here in Ubud for the second Big Hearted Business Creative Retreat. It’s such a super-beautiful place and to be able to work with a bunch of lovely people is pretty freaking-fantastic. The retreat started on Friday, so we are nearly half-way through. The days are whizzing by, which feels great and sad at the same time.

There’s been time for a bit of facilitator exploring inbetween set-up and classes: we’ve been back to Soma, Yellow Flower Cafe, Pica, Seniman and Taco Casa to have snacks and chats. It’s so nice to hang out with a bunch of girls and have fun together, right?

Ubud’s such a lovely, safe place to travel to. The people are helpful and kind and there’s so much to see and do (or you can do nothing much at all!) I’m really looking forward to coming back again next year (for a break and maybe for work too!)

It’s funny when you are away from your family, because you have to compartmentalise that part of your life away a little bit. It’s not that you don’t think of them lots and lots, but you sort of have to learn not to think of them TOO MUCH lest you forget where you are and how lovely it is. If you spend all your time missing your people you are sort of missing out (and they are probably busy doing other things, right?! Are they? Maybe?!)

It’s still early here, so I am going to have brekky and get dressed, then head off to our day of teaching. Rowe Timson is coming along today to teach us about the magic of ace photos, so that will be grand!

How are you going, peaches? Are you well? What good things are happening in your life? Send me a hello?!

x Pip

Look at all that super bright colour! Just gorgeous!

I’m having a little get together tomorrow with some girls for Melbourne Cup. The race is the least important part of the day because like you said it’s just nice to hang out with a bunch of girls & have fun 🙂

I am loving these images, so much colour and fun. I feel like we are getting a lovely little sneak peek into some of the creative fun you are having at the Big Hearted Business Creative Retreat, and also of Ubud. Thank you Pip.

Oh Pip. What a wonderful adventure you’re having! I totally get what you mean about compartmentalising. I had to learn to do that when I was living in NYC and my boyfriend (now husband) was in Australia. Otherwise I’d miss out on all the good that was life in New York, for missing him. Hope you continue to lap it up, and know you’ll be back with your family soon. xx
