Hello

A Granny A Day Til The End O May

April 15, 2009

Hello!

Guess what? I’ll tell you something cool? I’m going to make a Granny Square each day. I know. It’s mental, huh?! But I’m going to do it. I’m getting pretty quick at Granny Squares – so I’m up for the challenge. I’m going to post my results over the next month and a bit over here at Flickr. You might like to, too! You don’t have to be crazy, daily like me. You can Granny whenever you like. But I’ll be uploading A Granny A Day until the end of May. I’d love you to upload your Granny Square photos as well. Yes I would. Okey doke? Great!

If you’d like to granny with me and you don’t know how, you can refer to the following posts on this very blog for lots of helpful hints!

Hope your day was super good and your internet was super quick (unlike mine!) See you tomorrow with the first Granny! (And I’m not talking about MY Nanna, although she is ACE!) It might be a good idea to upload photos of our Nanna’s too, though….

xx Pip

Hi Pip just found your blog. What a great idea. My grandma taught me how to crochet and we made together a single bed blanket with granny squares. I have been wanting to make one for my kids so now maybe is the time to start. I’ll try and do some granny squares not sure how many I will get done in between all my sewing. Loved reading your blog please pop by for a visit.

I’ve been thinking about making some granny squares from my left over yarn for some time now but lacked confidence because I haven’t done any crochet for so long. ‘A Granny A day’ will give me the push I need to get started.
Please join me to your list.
