Hello peaches!

Jeepers it’s cold here in Melbourne today. I had to cancel my lunch date with my cute friend because I was feeling too sick. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. I think I have turned a corner!

I thought you might like to sneak a peek at some of the things I have been reading this week. Sometimes it’s nice to scroll through a list of curated links, isn’t it? Cherry pick the bits that sound good to you? I think so.

I’m a bit thrilled about Australia’s Next Top Model. Probably we shouldn’t post any spoilers, but so great to see such a down to earth and honest and cheeky girl win. Her integrity really shone through and it was pretty amazing to see her challenge herself over and over, working really hard on accepting herself for who she is. Gold.

Here’s those links I promised you…

The back story on a bunch of Vivienne Westwood’s punk designs.
The most ridiculously amazing softies in the guise of hipster accoutrements.
This house is so stinkin’ cute!
The delicious artwork of Joel Penkman.
I interviewed Perth blogger Inspiring Wit for Kidspot’s Creative Locals series.
Mollie Makes have a new + super special crochet mag out.
I love this idea from Susannah Conway. I think I will do it too!
Of course a Nicholas Cage In A Cage Bouncy Castle is a good idea.
I love this nope tote. Yep.
Cutie Madeleine Dore talks to Miso for The Design Files.
Design Sponge visits cute Sneh’s Cook Republic kitchen!
Summer in a sandwich!
How perfectionism kills love/relationships. So let that shit go.
The Great Discontent talks to Mike Perry.
Twenty Australian books to read in your twenties (or beyond!)
What newscasters look like when they deliver bad news.
What your ‘how we met’ story says about you and yours.
Yesterday’s stars reimagined using today’s social media/technology.
Scientists say we should let the wiggly kids wiggle!
An archive of every iD magazine cover ever!
Write an essay – maybe win $500 and get published on Design Sponge!

Have a lovely Friday night!

Lovely curated list – thanks Pip. My boys are in front of Saturday morning cartoons, so I made myself a cuppa and dived in!
Ohhh the ID covers! So many memories. I hung onto 2 IDs and 2 Faces. Wish I’d kept them all! LOVED the interview with Mike Perry (love him), and the story of the gifted tackle box from his eccentric grandpa. And Vivienne Westwood… 🙂
PS. Get well soon. YUK weather in Melbs today.
