:: Flakey Frenchness In The Hood

May 18, 2010

Yesterday Rin took me to Monsieur Truffe on Smith Street (in Collingwood) for a pre-work treat. They make their own pastries there, and the croissants are just THE BEST.  The coffee is really, really good too. And the interior is lovely and stacked high with pretty teapots and delicious chocolates and that kind of thing.  The walls are a deep sage colour, which is just really lovely and intense and vintagey.  If you are ever up the quieter city end of Smith St (near the junction of Smith and Gertrude) then you should pop in for a bit of flakey Frenchness.  In a very good way.

xx Pip
