Blog BWP Storytelling Workshop

Afternoon Exercise One

August 6, 2015

Go back to those topics we created in our first exercise.

Choose another one of those.

Here’s what to do next:

Write a letter about that topic, to a friend.
Take your time. Make a cup of tea. Get a biscuit or two.
Then sit down and write your letter.
Keep the tone as if you were talking to a friend.
See how it unfolds.

(Yes, you can type this!)

Write as much or as little as you like, keeping in mind that someone (pretend) will read it. (No, you don’t really have to share or send it!)

Notice your writing style when you write this way:

Is it different?
Are there bits that work better than sitting down and writing a more traditional ‘blog post’?
What can you take from this into your blog writing?
What lessons can you glean?
