:: The One About Friendship Bracelets

March 10, 2012

This Spread The Love Friendship Bracelet is via La Manufacture.
I found it through the lovely blog Lottie Loves.
Cute! Cute! Cute! Overload!

xx pip

PS : What are you doing? I’ve been up for a while, drinking coffee (percolated! gasp! I am so not cool!) and eating toast with that tomato/cashew/chili spread on it (rye toast! yum!) and thinking about putting on a DVD (Parenthood Season One… should I watch it?) and looking at crochet patterns.  What are you doing?

The Purl Bee had a friendship bracelet post one time that I thought was pretty. (http://www.purlbee.com/friendship-bracelets/2011/7/10/mollys-sketchbook-friendship-bracelets.html) I used to love making them. Had half-finished bracelets anchored on like every doorknob of my parents' house. It was like a factory; I was like a nine-year-old friendship bracelet making MACHINE.

Oh I love the bracelet! It'd be cool to done one big, like a wall hanging.
I'm gonna go for a bike ride today!
Can't advise on Parenthood but have heard a fair amount of positive buzz!

I haven't seen Parenthood. I'm currently lying on the bed with everyone else in the house–including the cat–and watching Inspector Montalvano.

BTW — I'm still doing you year of good things, though somewhat erratically: http://anditfeelslikehome.blogspot.com/2012/03/year-of-good-things-song-dongs-waste.html#!/2012/03/year-of-good-things-song-dongs-waste.html

Aawh! so cute! I think everyone's had a phase in their life when they were obsessed with those bracelets. or at least they should.
I've never seen oone with hearts though, so I probably have some catching up to do!

Yeah, I loved Parenthood. They're pretty cray, but it's fun cray. I think it's well acted, but I am biased because I LOVE Lauren Graham, Peter Kraus and Monica Potter. So, thumbs up from me!

Hi Pip, I just put the baby down for her nap. She was not keen on the idea but is now out like a light. When she wakes up we are going to meet a friend at Wooly Lattes cafe for some crochet and a Chai Frappe. I like the friendship bracelet, I made lots of them in primary school. I love Lauren Graham so I liked Parenthood.

Hi Pip,thank you so much for sharing the bracelet. My Miss Eight will LURVE this. Been washing all morning having the Mr return froma wet week at sea and the Year 9 boy return from a wet week at camp on the Southern Highlands. About to sit down with fresh made coffee and a couple of Monte Carlos. Just doing a little spot of blog hopping before I settle down to a few rows of current crochet blanket. Have wonderful weekend.

my advice is to not watch Parenthood. That family is nutso and so incredibly self-involved. If they were my neighbors, I would move.
Your friendship hearts are FABULOUS and thank you for telling us how to do it. Hearts!!

Oh that sounds yummy. I am drinking a raspberry juice and iced tea blend, eating a trail mix or cranberries, soy nuts, dates and sunflowers, crocheting a sunny mobile to hang in my daughters room, looking at blogs, and thinking of watching Sense and Sensibility 🙂

Morning Pip, What a busy morning you've already had! I just finished breaky (poached eggs on toast) and am drinking a lovely espresso coffee, a al machiato. I have a little wee headache and we are just packing to head up to Rutherglen for the weekend. I am packing light because I really don't want to go but I will take my Tunisian hook and some wool and make a couple of scarves on the way there and back! Back at Work this past week (with a capital W) and so far so good but all that sitting and airconditioning is making me BLAH so time to move and groove!

Love the friendship bracelets! great colours and love the little hearts! yay! will make some of these too!

Hope you have a Pipperiffic kind of time!

    Morning Pip
I'm up having an earl grey tea, checking my favourite blogs and getting excited about taking the kids to our town's annual Show today. We entered some little crochet projects, baking (cupcakes & decorated arrowroot bikkies) and eggs from our chooks so we can't wait to see how we went. Have to tell you something funny – my 31 year old sister has asked me to make her a typewriter cake for her birthday in April after we saw the amazing cake table at Rin's wedding, we grew up with the AWW cake bible too! Hope you have an awesome Saturday xx
