52 Hellos Creativity Hello

:: 52 Hellos : Week 15

What better way to spend a Sunday than reading letters from interesting people? How about reading letters from interesting people and drinking tea and listening to Sarah Blasko?! Yes. That’s what I am doing right now. Here are this weeks’ hellos. Thanks so much to their senders. It’s so lovely to receive a letter. Thanks for sending me these!

Woah. A Museologist? I didn’t even know how to spell that until today. To be honest, I didn’t even know there was such a thing.

1. the systematic study of the organization, management, and function of a museum.

To be honest, I didn’t even know there was such a thing as Woodruff Ice Cream, either. I found out a bit more about that here. One thing I do know, is that Mary Poppins is a fabulous movie. I loved the parts where they mixed animation with real life. I also loved your postcard! Thanks Jenni!

I want to know what the Furry Dance is. If I could see the Furry Dance from my house, I know that my life would be much nicer.

Also, Donna, you sound like you are pretty busy with grandkids and cats. And books and boxes. I really like all those things, but I don’t have any grandkids at the moment. I keep trying to get some, but it doesn’t seem to work like that.

I think you will be MUCH happier in the new place. Let us know how you are going?

Barnwords sounds really cool, Lois.  My computer wants to auto-correct it to Barnyards, but I am not going to let it. A nursery job for a garden lover? That sounds like a perfect match to me.

We are just edging into Winter here, as you ready yourself for Spring. Aren’t we lucky to have the seasonal shifts? Life would be so same-same if we didn’t. It rained all night here and was especially sleep-encouraging. (I went out last night to a friend’s gig and was a bit exhausted… I never go out!) I sometimes (actually often) have a bit of trouble sleeping in our noisy neighbourhood, so the rain was a lovely respite from that.

Thanks for writing all the way from Illinois, Lois! I love your hello and your paper hoarding ways!

    Hi Pip, sorry it’s taken me this long to check in on your blog. So glad my letter arrived, thanks for featuring it! I realised afterwards I wrote in length about my blog but never mentioned its name 😀 If you want to check it out, you can find it at http://www.museumdiary.com No Australian museums featured yet, but I do have a guest post series of ‘digital postcards’, if you’re ever tempted 😉 Thanks, Jenni

    I loved reading those letters, Pip! Almost felt like I knew those ladies too. 🙂 I used to love getting letters from my parents, as Mum would write most of the letter and Dad would do a little sketch and add a few lines about the weather and his veggie garden. Of course, I still have them, they’re more precious now that they have passed on. Cheers, Janet
