52 Hellos Hello

:: 52 Hellos: Week 12

This week in our letter writing project – 52 Hellos – a letter from Dani. What a treat.

Dani’s hello came with two tissue-y letters and some mysterious found photos belonging to her distant Aunt Maggie… Well. Maybe a grandparent’s cousin is not really an Aunt? I am not sure, but let’s say it’s the truth, for now! Excellent.

When my grandfather’s cousin, Maggie died, her son sent an old cardboard photo album plus a blue plastic bag full of a hundred or so unsorted photos.

There are poignant baby photos and bush landscapes and old pastoral scenes.
Maggie makes for such an interesting story. I will use her for the basis of a character some day.
x D

I’m kind of in love with the shadowy figure (although the cow is fetching too!)

Send me a hello? Or maybe you’d like to write a letter to someone in your life. I can attest to the fact that it benefits not only the recipient, but the writer as well. It’s doing wonders for my friendships and family connections. So cute.

x Pip

    I love old photos they are so full of mystery ,who what where and when . I have made sure all of ours are labelled after sorting my dads when he died . Sadly there are many with strangers faces and those strangers might be relatives we never met. Pip I realised you can’t write back as we have moved if you would like our new address please email me 🙂

    Oh I’m so pleased that my funny little missive made it’s way safely to you 🙂 I am a bit taken with the shadow figure too. Did you see the main part of the letter (about letter writing) that was written on the inside of the envelope? Kind of like old letter grams? Hope it wasn’t too well hidden, but if it was, it has an extra added bonus 🙂
    It must be so much fun to receive all of this mail. It’s such a great project x
